About
Most of the people I know don't like their jobs but I am certainly an exception. I love the information technology industry in general. I simply can't learn enough fast enough. Technology advances so quickly that it seems impossible to keep up. I enjoy learning and playing with new technologies, tools, utilities, etc.

I'm currently working as a senior software engineer at IntelliScience Corporation. It's a Microsoft shop so we typically use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and C# for our development projects. I have been a developer for almost 15 years now and have enjoyed every second of it.

History History

I have pursued a software engineering position since early high school. I am lucky in that I have always known that the information technology industry was where I wanted to be. I've programmed computers ever since my first confrontation with my father's old TRS-80. I vaguely recall poking around the Commodore VIC-20 and 64 too. I worked on Apple 2E's in high school. PCs sure have come a long way.

I learned a good bit about PC hardware from a consultant that I periodically worked with at my first job after college. Of course I learned some things the hard way. I still recall fiddling with a laptop my mother brought home from work and "accidentally" deleting io.sys and/or msdos.sys. Oops! I think she is still surprised I can actually fix PCs rather than break them.

New Opportunities

New Opportunities

I'm always open to new opportunites so if you would like more information about me or would like me to email you a copy of my resume (granted it may take me a bit to update it) please don't hesitate to email me.

I actually just re-worked this entire site because I am becoming more and more interested in the graphics and presentation aspect of web development rather than just the code for the backend. I am trying to force myself to be creative. It's easy to look at a site design that is of interest and mimic the site. I know this site isn't anything ground breaking but I did create the majority of the graphics you see on this site from scratch with Corel's Paint Shop Pro XI. Paint Shop Pro is easy to work with although I have a feeling it doesn't have half the functionality and flexibility as something like Adobe's Photoshop.
